We pride ourselves in serving the freshest & most flavorful Mexican Cuisine in our area by bringing the taste of Mexico to your plate.Our Motto is: EAT, DRINK & FIESTA! Luis Corona settled in the US back in 1978.
He raised his children: Luis Jr., Alejandro, Elizabeth and Denise alongside his wife Alejandra in Northlake, IL. He & his eldest, Luis Jr., decided it was way overdue for Northlake to have a dine-in Mexican restaurant serving only but the freshest (not frozen) Mexican Cuisine... & not just another taqueria (taco stand).
With that in mind, the neighborhood now has Alejandra’s Mexican Cuisine & Cantina. Named after his wife & mother of his 4 children, Alejandra’s has brought Mexican food & culture to the Chicagoland ‘burbs. The recipes are regional classics from all over Mexico including some favorites from Mrs. Alejandra herself. You ask “Why Northlake?” and not some “trendy Chicago neighborhood?” the answer is “WHY NOT!”
The Corona family has been rooted in Northlake since 1978. Luis & his wife, Alejandra, raised their children and sent them to the local schools. They have had the best of times in Northlake, so why not give back to a city that’s giving so much? Bottom line, Alejandra’s Mexican Cuisine & Cantina has brought food rich in history as well as flavor... & you‘re about to attest to that!
